This is a great light dance class for those interested in learning cabaret style routines like the movie, learn the walks, the shimmy, the body movements and how to use expression in your performance. A different skill used each week covering gloves, chairs, fans, feather boa’s etc. A great introduction to Burlesque and a fun class with lots of giggles!

Burlesque Course!

This course will help teach you everything you need to know to put together your own Burlesque performance!
Cover finer details of Traditional and Neo Burlesque, modern dance moves, how to use accessories including feather boa’s, gloves, chairs and fans, facial expression, style training, poses, posture etc.  Every term includes a specialized make up and costume class with makeup artist to show you how to apply Burlesque style make up, accentuate your own features and choose the perfect costume for your performance.
This course is designed to help you bring out your own individual style, personality and character through performance. A great way to build your confidence and do something for you! Each student will put together their own show to perform in class at the end of the term (optional).
