FIONA

Fiona was born and raised on the Bellarine Peninsula. At a young age Fiona developed a passion for dance and acting through her local calisthenics college, competing in solos and as a Victorian state team member.

Fiona left Australia at 20 years of age to explore the world. During her studying and travelling she obtained a Science degree in human movement and worked as a trained “Regissuese” choreographer/stage manager for Club Med, allowing her to live and perform in Florida, the Bahamas, and Thailand. Her final move was to New York City to where she was selected to study acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.

Post-graduation Fiona was invited to join the NY Academy’s theatre company and teach voice/speech and acting at the summer school. Fiona currently represents the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, conducting their annual casting auditions for the Australasian region. Whilst in NYC Fiona also enjoyed taking jazz class at Broadway Dance, landed a role in an off-off Broadway production and worked as a voice over artist.

Since returning to Australia Fiona’s acting credits include numerous Theatre, TV (TV shows and commercials), and film productions. Fiona’s passion for theatre and performance inspired her to establish a theatre company, where she wrote and produced a play in Melbourne.

After many years as a professional actor Fiona’s love for voice and speech led her to return to school and obtain her Masters degree in speech pathology allowing her to work as a qualified speech pathologist.

Fiona discovered pole early 2017 after exploring ways to improve her fitness. Since being at the studio she has soared through levels in both Static and Spin, competed and won the Beginner section of Pole on the Pier 2017 and performed a solo at the Studio’s November Show Night.

Fiona’s love for the creative arts and movement is evident in her new passion for the pole and she is thrilled to be part of the Kylie J team.
